Augusta native was the military and teacher Franz Adolph Jaeger. Jaeger came from Germany in 1851, he was a Brummer (the growlers were a group who came to Brazil to fight against Argentina). Adolph Franz Jaeger was a teacher in southern Brazil, their Nachkomenschaft was very well known. The six children of immigrants Jaeger were teachers. He is the patriarch of the family Jaeger in southern Brazil.
